Market Your Homes with Online Classifieds

To get the most buyers, you need the greatest exposure.

Posting your listings on realtor.com and other highly-trafficked sites is the first step in the right direction! To enhance your visibility, consider getting your name out on local resources where your targeted customers would look.

Many state or regional REALTOR® associations will have pages on which you can post your listings. True, many of those pages will be redirected back to http://www.realtor.com (which, of course, has a tremendous amount of traffic). Others will also include different resources such as the New York State Association of REALTORS, which has a link to ListingLink.com . The more your homes get out on the Internet, the greater the chances are that your potential customers will find you.

REALTOR® associations aren't the only places which have specific home listings, however. Look at the web address in the above example - it goes to a site called Listing Link . You'll see that not only at that site can you list your properties, but you can also list yourself for consumers looking for agents.

This is pretty generic, though. What if you're a NJ REALTOR and want to ensure your home gets in front of NJ customers?

One of the best ways to find state-specific resources is to go to Yahoo! at Yahoo and search on - NJ homes

In this case, you'll see New Jersey Houses and Homes at http://arsdata.com/njhh and NJ Home Guide at www.njhomeguide.com

What if your state abbreviation means something else? Maine's abbreviation is "ME" as in me me me. In this case, you'd search on - Maine homes - and find Maine's Property Toolkit at http://www.maine-realestate.com.

Try it for other states! Search Yahoo! for - Delaware homes - and you'll find Delaware Homes Online at http://homes.delawareonline.com

This has the bonus of being created from the state-wide newspaper, The News Journal.

There are other ways of ensuring your home gets seen by specific regional customers. Consider Yahoo! itself - it's one of the most popular sites around (and with good reason!). It has a special real estate site, where you can list your homes for free! (this is at the "Post Free Classifieds" link).

How else can you find regional resources? Go to Websitez, set the last dropdown menu to "Web Site Names" and search on, say, - california real estate

You'll find The California Real Estate website. You can mix and match words like the state name, state abbreviation, "homes," "houses," etc. until you come up with a site that services REALTORS in your area.

Never be constrained by only one kind of searching. By broadening your scope, you'll be able to locate resources you never knew existed.
