Apartments.com Now The Exclusive Provider of Apartment Listings on USATODAY.com
An application for REALTORS®

Apartments.com, one of the fastest-growing national online apartment guides and relocation resources, is now the exclusive provider of apartment listings on USATODAY.com, a top three general interest news site on the Internet.

Apartment hunters can now visit the Real Estate Marketplace on USATODAY.com and begin their personalized search of the Apartments.com database, which includes the industry's most in-depth, visual apartment ads as well as current classified listings aggregated from many of the nation's leading newspapers.

"Using the Internet can significantly reduce the time, effort and frustration typically associated with searching for an apartment, especially when relocating from one city to another," said Bruce Mitchell, president and general manager of Apartments.com. "By providing our detailed apartment and relocation information on such a popular online destination as USATODAY.com, we make it easier for renters to access a tremendously powerful and convenient resource. Plus, our property management customers will receive increased visibility of their ads, which will generate more qualified leads and lower their average cost to rent an apartment," he said.

While using Apartments.com through USATODAY.com, users can also visit the Moving Center (www.movingcenter.com), Apartments.com's one-stop relocation resource. The Moving Center enables consumers to arrange truck and furniture rental, calculate their salary in different cities, instantly check their credit report online, change their address and more.

Visitors to Apartments.com increased by 35% in January 1999 over November 1998 according to I/PRO, a leading Internet audience measurement service, and based on an internal audit, traffic to Apartments.com in January 1999 was up nearly 700% versus January 1998. USATODAY.com receives 21 million visitors per month, according to I/PRO.

Apartments.com currently represents about 800,000 apartments and is featured on the web sites of 20 newspaper affiliates, including The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and Minneapolis Star-Tribune, with more than 110 scheduled to launch by the end of 1999.
