The Employee Relocation Council (ERC) announced that its Center for International Assignment Management (CIAM) has signed up 756 members representing 19 countries even before its official introduction this May. Countries represented include Australia, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

"CIAM was designed with the input of leading practitioners in our field, and provides a much-needed resource for the individual involved in the complex field of global workforce management. Our industry has been calling for a way to provide guidance and information to facilitate the effective management of international assignments. CIAM is opening its doors at the perfect time to answer that call," said Brenda Fender, SCRP, Riverwood International Corporation. Fender is chairman, 1999 CIAM Member Services Task Force and serves as secretary-treasurer for ERC's board of directors.
