Homes.com will develop and host branded
Web sites for each of more than 800 Better Homes and Gardens member firms. The
agreement between Homes.com and GMAC Home Services, Better Homes and Gardens'
parent company is part of a GMAC's new, companywide Internet strategy to tap
into the growing consumer population on the Web.
Launched in 1993, HOMES.COM was the first online provider of property
listings and other relocation information to consumers across the nation. The
service provider will create branded individual sites for Better Homes
affiliates complete with property listings (with multiple photos, virtual
tours, audio, video, and more), company/sales associate contact information,
lead generation and tracking tools, school and property reports, other
community information, mortgage tools, real estate Q&A and consumer education
tools, email, listings distribution to search engines and other national Web
sites, and more.
These sites will consistently promote the Better Homes and Gardens Real
Estate brand to consumers, and will extend the new Better Homes and Gardens
Real Estate national Web site, currently under development by Microsoft and
scheduled for a June launch.
