Improve Your Traffic With Exchange Networks

A great way to improve your web traffic is through "Link Exchanges Networks". Exchange Networks are groups of web sites who trade links and banners with each other. It works like this. You'll create a space on your web site to display the group's banner (which, for you tech buffs, is served from their server, not yours) and, in exchange, your banner (which you submit to them only one time) will be displayed on other member's sites. In other words, it's an Internet Barter system.

Exchange networks are a great way to get started in banner advertising and they're FREE! The Exchange Networks will provide the necessary HTML code for you to place on your web site which allow your site to display other people's banners. All you have to do is complete their simple sign up form and provide them with a banner for your site. Many of the Exchange Networks allow you to specify your target audience or category, which results in producing quality traffic to your web site. For most "Exchanges", you will need a 468 x 60 pixel banner. If you do not have a banner, you can make a FREE one on any of the 3 web sites listed below. Just follow the instructions.

For those of you who prefer that a professional make your banner(s), simply email me and ask for recommendations.

To continue, there are literally hundreds of "Exchange" Networks on the Internet. I recommend you join the four listed below. After you have made your new banner go to each of the four banner exchange web sites, follow their simple instructions on becoming a member.

Link Exchange offers the ability to Track visitors to your site and target your ads by site content & language.

Exchange-it is a free service designed to help web sites trade advertising with each other. Exchange-it is an excellent way to "Get the word out" about your web site.

MS-Links Exchange allows you to categorize and target your web site banner marketing. MS-Links reserves the right to modify, change, add or delete site categories at any time to insure the quality of their service.

IntelliClicks offers a comprehensive set of options and feature to help you promote your web site and gain the visibility it deserves. It is the first free banner exchange network to offer the ability to include sound effects with your banner ad. Absolutely no plug-ins required.

The above are the exchange sites I suggest in getting the most out of the limited web site space you may have to work with. If you would like to resource other exchange networks you can go to http://www.adbility.com. They have a list of about 150 of the most popular sites on the Internet.
