Have you ever read a news story and wished you could instantly share your
own views with the writer, editor, and/or other readers? Now you can.
Introducing Realty Times Interactive, making its debut today on Realty Times.
Realty Times, the Internet's largest and most innovative news service for
real estate consumers and industry professionals, is introducing another real estate
"first" to readers. Realty Times Interactive is a new messaging system
designed to promote interactive discussions among its more than 250,000 monthly
visitors.
Realty Times Interactive is a unique technology which offers the
topic-specific interest of a ListServe, the convenience of a message board and
the interactivity of a chat room. More than a "letter to the editor" in
electronic form, Realty Times Interactive allows visitors to post their own
opinions, share information and enter discussions with other participants.
There is also the opportunity to interact with Realty Times writers, editors
and other staff members.
Realty Times Interactive will be featured on selected Realty Times articles which are
suitable for interactivity. Anyone may read the responses to the stories,
but to participate and post a response, you must register with the system and
then login and give your password.
"This is an idea whose time has come," says Jody Lane, publisher of Realty
Times. "The amount of feedback we get indicates a strong demand for this kind
of feature."
Realty Times' real estate columnists and writers are also anticipating a
favorable response. Syndicated real estate columnist Peter Miller adds, "Reporters and columnists have
always talked about how much they'd like to get reader feedback. Well, here's
what they've wanted. Interactivity makes such feedback plausible, and in the
future I expect that very few articles or columns will deny readers the
opportunity to comment and respond."
