HomeBuilder.com, part of the Homestore.com (Nasdaq: HOMS)
family of home and real estate related web sites, today announced that it is
the most visited new homes site on the Internet. According to a Media
Metrix report, HomeBuilder.com leads the
new homes category, receiving almost twice the Internet traffic than its
closest competitor.
The site's steady growth is attributed to two key factors, according to Bill
Brown, chief operating officer. "First, we strive to provide the most
comprehensive, up-to-date new home information on the web," Brown said.
"Then, deliver that content to our audience by using targeted Internet
channels as a means of distribution," Brown added.
To maintain strong distribution, HomeBuilder.com is strategically aligned
with six of the Internet's top portals. These relationships help to drive
more unique users to the site, thereby delivering more home shoppers to
builders. HomeBuilder.com's industry leading content and prominent portal
channels have delivered proven results. "We're very pleased with the
services HomeBuilder.com provides," said Kelly Asmus of Riverside Homes, a
Portland, Oregon builder. "We've sold nine homes as a direct result of the
site."
At HomeBuilder.com, consumers can view floor plans and photos, take a
virtual tour, research new communities or search for a custom builder from
the comforts of their own home or office. The site currently hosts more
than 15,000 builders who collectively have more than 125,000 new homes
available for online viewing.
