Homestore.com, the Internet's leading network for home and real estate related information, products and services, attracted 2,939,000 unique users during February 2000 - the largest monthly audience ever recorded in the company's history, according to data from Media Metrix, the leading Internet measurement authority, which just released its latest report.
This record-setting performance by the Homestore.com network represents a 15% increase over last month, and an audience nearly three times as large as Microsoft's HomeAdvisor.
Homestore.com also ranks #1 in the category of total site usage, as visitors spent well over 77 million minutes on its network in February, over 11 times more total minutes than HomeAdvisor.
The Homestore.com network increased its category-leading "stickiness" in February, with the average unique user staying 14.7 minutes during each visit, up from January's 14.2 average per visit, a calculation based on average minutes/month divided by average visits per month, as reported by Media Metrix.
"This month's record-setting performance proves that our continuing evolution of the Homestore.com network is being utilized and appreciated by Americans looking to enhance their home environment," said Stuart Wolff, chairman and chief executive officer, of Homestore.com.
