e-PRO Slots Filling Up
by Realty Times Staff
The push to get Realtors on the Internet and certified in Internet-readiness is a bigger success than the National Association of REALTORS® dreamed, according to the latest information from Websuite, the NAR's technology partner in the deployment of the online course work. e-PRO, of course, is the new online training curriculum available to Realtors only which, upon completion, certifies them to serve the Internet Empowered Consumers (IEC.) The course is available online only through the NAR. With pre-registration launched in March, the available slots have already filled to June. Registration for the e-PRO certification course is now limited to 5,000 applicants for the months of June and July, and only has 1,110 slots open for June, says Kirk Klinkhammer, director of the e-PRO program. "Agents are responding at an overwhelming rate to this opportunity and registering in large numbers," says Klinkhammer. "Early registration is the only way to assure that agents will be able to participate in the certification during the first two months of introduction." "In order to assure a smooth, high quality experience from this new Web-based educational program, we have set a maximum enrollment of 5,000 participants per month during the first two months", Klinkhammer explained. NAR’s e-PRO Certification Program, conducted entirely online, is available to any Realtor. The e-PRO curriculum can be completed in approximately 12-20 hours, with additional time required to complete required assignments. By design, the course will teach Realtors about Internet business principles through a comprehensive and interactive content. Although the course is self-paced, it must be completed within six months. Upon completion, agents are entitled to use the e-PRO Internet Professional logo on their Web site, which in turn will link visitors to a consumer awareness page about the e-PRO certification program. The only pre-requisites to enroll in the course are to have access to a computer, a working knowledge of computer basics, and a real estate license. For further information visit the www.eproinfo.com website. Registration is available online. The complete cost of the course is $299. Certification renewal will be on an annual basis. Pre-register now to become an Internet-enabled real estate professional. Published: April 21, 2000 Use of this article without permission is a violation of federal copyright laws. Related Articles: |
