Industry analysts are forecasting that by 2002 more than one in five loans will originate online. That's why it's perfect timing says RealEstate.com to release the Mortgage Broker Edition of LendingPlus(tm), a customized, individual Web site designed for mortgage brokers. The company also announces the debut of its Mortgage Broker Search Engine.
There are over 37,000 mortgage brokers in the U.S. today, says Realestate.com. With the LendingPlus Web sites and the Mortgage Broker Search Engine, the site says it can link qualified mortgage brokers to thousands of potential customers.
Realestate.com calls the process a "near effortless set-up," especially if the brokers will use the marketing techniques recommended by RealEstate.com. They can gain national exposure, streamline their business processes and improve their ability to serve clients.
With LendingPlus, these brokers will have a personalized Web site customized with the broker's photo, contact information, company logo and unique Web address-brokername.realestate.com. Each LendingPlus site includes content designed to increase broker productivity and drive revenue to participants.
LendingPlus includes the following features:
National exposure on the Internet to market the broker's business and to generate leads;
A secure, online mortgage application on each broker's site that will allow prospects to complete and submit an application directly to the broker;
Access to more than 1.3 million home sales listings through Realtor.com;
Access to market reports and demographics;
Client tools such as mortgage calculators, and answers to common home buying questions;
The Barr Report, with current economic forecasts and information;
A tool for prospects to assess their qualifications as loan candidates; and
Access to each broker's site by clients and prospects 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
"LendingPlus Web sites provide independent mortgage brokers the same national access to prospects and clients enjoyed by the largest mortgage brokerage houses," said RealEstate.com Managing Director Andy Thomas. "LendingPlus sites and the Mortgage Broker Search Engine connect eager loan applicants with brokers who are part of the RealEstate.com national network, keeping the client relationship in the hands of the mortgage broker."
RealEstate.com is known for its Web-based, real estate applications for real estate agnets, commercial Realtors, and appraisal and closing services.
