Homestore.com, Inc. and Cendant Corporation announced today that they have been notified by the U.S. Department of Justice that the Department will not oppose the closing by Homestore.com of the acquisition of move.com from Cendant, which the parties expect to complete by February 20, 2001. The Department is continuing its investigation of certain Homestore.com agreements, including certain agreements between Homestore.com and Cendant, and has indicated that it will endeavor to resolve that investigation as quickly as possible. Homestore.com is continuing to cooperate with the Department of Justice in providing information with respect to that investigation.
