Microsoft Corp. says that the MSN® HomeAdvisor(TM) online home and real
estate guide has doubled its traffic in the past six months and far outpaced
its closest competitors in the past year, according to just-released Media
Metrix statistics for February. Traffic rose nearly 100 percent from
September 2000 through February 2001, making HomeAdvisor the fastest-growing
real estate listings site on the Internet.
February data from Media Metrix shows visits to HomeAdvisor have grown 157
percent since February 2000, while traffic to the next largest real estate
site has grown just 49 percent in that same time period.
As a result of its traffic surge, HomeAdvisor says it is delivering double
the
customer leads to its real estate partners as well. The site now delivers
thousands of leads to real estate professionals each month, numbers that are
sure to increase as traffic to HomeAdvisor continues to grow.
Today's traffic announcement comes on the heels of the site's recognition as
the Best Overall Home-Buying Site in Yahoo! Internet Life's annual Gold Star
site review last month. Yahoo! reviewers ranked HomeAdvisor as the best site
in every rating category and found that HomeAdvisor displayed more home
listings for sale than competitor sites in test searches performed.
