Prudential California Realty Acquires eHome.com Software
When eHome.com underwent bankruptcy proceedings in February, Ed Krafchow,
president of Prudential California Realty (PCR) saw an opportunity to
capitalize on technology advances eHome.com had pioneered by incorporating them
into the company’s existing online capabilities.
"The added depth and breadth that the eHome.com software brings to our
platform is extraordinary," said Krafchow. "It will far surpass anything being
used at a broker level, and gives us the technology fire-power to service
clients better than ever."
Under an agreement with FrontDoor Incorporated to integrate and customize
the eHome.com solution in the PCR web site (http://www.PruWeb.com), PCR has
acquired license to the functionality of eHome.com's platform from the
eHome.com creditors, and will be adding this functionality to its existing
online tools to provide agents and consumers with a more robust and advanced
engine for real estate searches and transactions.
Integration of the eHome.com functionality will include additions to its
consumer site and advanced modifications to its WebTop for agents.
The expanded public website functionality will allow consumers access to
extensive home search information, mortgage calculators, neighborhood profiles,
calendars, and more. The agent WebTop will integrate the functionality of an
advanced lead management and contact management system, a document access,
retrieval and archival system, a transaction management function, and extensive
buyer's search and seller listing function.
The new functionality is being integrated into the PCR platforms by 17 IT
specialists, and will be rolled out to PCR's network of offices throughout
Northern California and Nevada.
