NAR Announces New VIP Partner, NetDocuments
by Realty Times Staff
An online document management service aimed at commercial practitioners of the National Association of Realtors will be provided by NAR’s latest REALTOR VIPSM Alliance Program Partner, NetDocuments. The NetDocuments service will be offered to NAR commercial and institute affiliate members at a 10 percent discount off published list price. The discount is in addition to any multi-user discount offered. NetDocuments makes it easy to manage and share documents with customers and clients, and provides a means to track the steps of a transaction and to archive and research information. The service provides a virtual workspace whereby a commercial real estate practitioner can be anywhere, anytime, and access property and asset documents, leasing information, photos, calendar events, financial statements and purchase and sales agreements. Bonnie Gottlieb, NAR senior vice president for commercial real estate, said, “The NetDocuments service has been designed with the real estate commercial practitioner in mind. There is no limit to what commercial real estate practitioners can achieve as they begin to take full advantage of the power of NetDocuments to store, organize and share information, help generate listings, as well as manage properties and close sales.” Users will be able to scan physical documents from virtually any scanner connected to the Web. Documents are stored in electronic “cabinets.” A powerful full-text search engine makes it possible to retrieve information in seconds, and documents are available at all times, 24/7, every day of the year. Commercial practitioners will be able to share and collaborate with sales agents, attorneys, inspectors, bankers, tenants, external property managers, and vendors, thereby streamlining the transaction process and facilitating closings. “We’ve been working to identify technology applications and other business tools that are particularly well-suited to the special needs of our commercial members. NetDocuments is the first such product that we are truly excited about. By using NetDocuments, the commercial practitioner can remain in the center of any transaction and can speed even the most complex closings. In addition, NetDocuments is easy to use, offers numerous options for different types of work, and is extremely secure,” said Gottlieb. “We see great potential for the NetDocuments program as it uniquely addresses the needs of NAR’s commercial practitioners,” said Bob Goldberg, NAR senior vice president for marketing and business development and head of the REALTOR VIPSM Program. As part of the program, NetDocuments is also offering a free online seminar for NAR commercial members to learn about the program. Regular online seminars will be held for training, education and selling purposes, all targeted to real estate professionals. NetDocuments offers a global document management and collaboration service and has specialized in managing documents for more than 18 years. “NetDocuments represents an opportunity for real estate professionals to leverage document services on the Web to more quickly, easily, and accurately close real estate transactions. NetDocuments also allows real estate professionals to provide a level of service and communication to clients that will set the standard in real estate. NetDocuments looks forward to its alliance with NAR to achieve the goals of better serving NAR members who can then better serve their clients,” said Ken Duncan, CEO of NetDocuments.
