Cybertips: What's Your Password?

Ever wonder what’s under the "*****" in your password box? Most applications allow you to store passwords, such as the password for your dial-in Internet connection, the password of your e-mail or the password for your financial program. Once the password is stored, it is hidden under a row of asterisks (****) and in the case you forget your password, it cannot be read by you again.

Now, Webattack.com allows you to read any of your passwords that are covered by the asterisks by simply dragging a special cursor over the password field. Once your cursor is on top of a "*****" password field, this recovery utility displays the password instantly on its screen!

Great trick ---and it’s free!

The World's Greatest Conversion Site

What time is it in London? What’s my husband’s size for these European shirts and shoes? It’s 37 degrees Celsius on the sign - how hot is it today?

At Onlineconversion.com, you will find 32 major categories like time, distance, currency, and weight even some “fun stuff”. (What day were you born? How old would you be if you were a dog? How fast do you type? And many more).

You name it and you can convert it here in about two shakes.

Stop Junk Faxes

Do you hate answering the phone and hearing a fax tone? Hate getting disturbed at 3:00 AM by fax calls (even if you don't even have a fax machine)? Hate having your ink, paper, and fax machine being used by people you don’t even know and don’t want to know?

According to information at Junkfax.org, a Federal law passed in 1991 makes it illegal to fax material containing commercial advertising to any person their invitation or permission. If the fax was deliberately sent to you (as most junk faxes are), federal law entitles you to recover a minimum of $500 and, depending the judge's discretion, up to $1,500 for each such fax that you receive.

These folks are serious about stopping this nuisance and have put together all the tools you need to fight back! Who knows, if you received 20 junk faxes recently they may be worth $1000 to $3000 to you! Wouldn't it be nice to have these rascals dig deep to pay you for causing you annoyance?

Executive-level Organizer

According to the folks at Ceoexpress.com, their goal is to provide a simple, focused and current tool for executives and their businesses in effect, a "one screen life”.

You will find just about all the information a busy executive could ask for all neatly organized into sections such as News (Links to all the major print News media, TV Networks, International News Outlets, Health News Sources), Internet Search Engines (some we had never heard of), Company Search with over 350,000 company profiles and Stock Search (including quotes, charts, opinions and profiles).

That’s just some of the free stuff! If you want to march toward a “one screen life”, these clever folks will help you with that too for a modest fee!
