With so much to offer in the way of recreational activities from the mountains to the desert, Boise, Idaho is an outdoor lovers' dream town, say local Realtors.
"The City of Boise is part of a thriving metropolitan area of 450,000 people," says Realtor Tom Zumwalt. "Nestled in the Treasure Valley against the majestic foothills, Boise is the largest metropolitan area in Idaho. Boise is rich in history, cultural events, public art and galleries, sporting events and fine dining. Situated where the high desert meets the western edge of the Rocky Mountains, Boise is the gateway to exceptional recreational opportunities, including: world famous white-water rafting, Nordic and Alpine skiing, snowboarding, hunting, fishing, backpacking and camping. Hiking, biking, and fishing are popular activities right in the metro area. Boise has thousands of acres of open space around the city. The foothills of the Rockies provide trails for hikers and bikers of all abilities. The Boise River Greenbelt is a great place for biking, roller-blading or a casual stroll."
Suggests Zumwalt, "Business is picking up more and homes are selling. The market is very active right now. The interest rate is low and it is a good time to buy or sell. As of February 2003 compared to February 2002 in Ada County the total number of homes on the market increased, the total number of homes sold increased, the median price decreased, the average price decreased, and the days on the market increased. The days on the market have only increased by 1 day."
Says Realtor Raylene Kinyon, "The market in Boise is brisk with interest rates being low buyers are anxious to take advantage of it. Many young buyers, not so long ago would be unable to buy a nice home, but with today's interest rate, first-time homebuyers are buying, which is making the move-up buyer with an opportunity to buy as well."
