"Fishers is a pleasant, peaceful town close to Indianapolis on the northeastern tip of Marion County," says Realtor Jerry Barrows. "The town of Fishers is dedicated to providing residents with safe, progressive park facilities driven by the wise use of green space, to offering recreational activities and events through public and private partnerships, and to enhancing the quality of family life, the feeling of neighborliness, and the sense of community.

"In 1992 the town of Fishers adopted a plan to build a network of paths," explains Barrows. "The system will consist of more than 91 miles of multipurpose paths and sidewalks designed to provide pedestrian and bicycle trails when complete. It will connect parks, schools, neighborhoods, retail areas, work places, community facilities, and other unique attractions.

"Fishers is a really nice place to live and raise a family," he suggests. "The Hamilton Southeastern School district currently has 13 buildings that house eight thousand plus students consisting of eight elementary schools, two intermediate schools, two junior high schools and one high school that was renovated in 1999. The Hamilton Southeastern School System can give parents piece of mind when it comes to giving their children a good education in a clean and safe environment."

Says Realtor Daniel Powers, "Situated in the heart of the Midwest, Fishers is one of the fastest growing communities in the country and is recognized as a leader in quality local government and civic involvement. Fishers has a long and rich history of strong family values and economic success. Located in Southeastern Hamilton County, Fishers is just 15 miles northeast of Indianapolis. Proximity to Interstates 465 and 69 make Fishers a convenient place to live and do business. Recreation and leisure opportunities also abound in Fishers and residents have access to six parks, walking paths, several golf courses, community pools, a new YMCA, and a youth sports organization. Nearby Geist and Morse reservoirs provide convenient access to water recreation. The Metropolitan Airport is located in the area and the Indianapolis International Airport is just 30 minutes away."

Concerning housing, Barrows explains, "Fishers offers a unique and affordable collection of traditional and contemporary style condominiums and single-family homes. Smaller, two-bedroom condominiums and townhouses can be found starting at approximately $100,000. Many include access to community swimming pools, spas and tennis courts and prices can exceed $500,000 for newer, larger models boasting luxurious amenities. Older single-family detached homes with landscaped yards start in the low $100,000s, while large estate properties can range up to $1 million and more in communities such as Hamilton Delaware and Hamilton Fall Creek. Many of these properties are located on substantial acreage and include swimming pools and spectacular views of local championship golf courses and the Geist Reservoir. Land and lots are also available for custom building."
