Spring Clean Your Business

Don’t you love the feeling in a room that isn’t cluttered and there is ample space? Somehow, most of us are living in clutter instead of enjoying the flow of space. Feng shui practitioners will tell you that clutter drains energy and keeps you from success. This coach will agree! Whether you tackle the physical clutter or the Rolodex, you'll find throwing out what isn't serving you or making your life better opens up some space for the new, good stuff to come in. Get rid of your energy vampires and open the doors to attraction. Spring makes me think of a fresh start and spring cleaning. So, let’s look at three things you can do to get you back into the flow!

Tackle the clutter: Fill 8-12 large green garbage bags with stuff that you don't need, don't like, doesn't fit, is broken and doesn't represent who you are today. You may even save your children a lot of time by getting rid of all that stuff that they'll have to go through when you die. Are you holding onto stuff 20+ years old that has no practical purpose any longer?.....Give away the reusable stuff and realize you are putting energy back into the universe to return to you. Throw out what isn't usable anymore. There’s a hidden benefit, really a magic in clearing space: it creates more time. Try it-you'll see.

Throw out the people: Go through your databases and clear out the people you don't like, the ones that don't fit anymore, etc. Real estate is a relationship game, not a numbers game in the 21st Century. This has an added benefit of making your marketing budget lighter when you stop sending to people with whom you do not have a strong relationship with or who wouldn't refer to you.

Throw out the bad business: You probably have listings that are never going to sell…..Get rid of them. They are costing you money to service. Now, how about those high maintenance clients who drain your energy.? Yes...you can be picky and have enough business to make your goals, but you won't attract it if all your time is spent with the energy drainers.

Whew.... doesn't that feel good? Now, it's time to let the seeds that have been planting and that have been germinating begin to peek up through the earth and turn into spring business. Get busy and call the people you do like and stir up some cosmic dust and enjoy the harvest!
