Cybertips - Sherlock Holmes Your e-Mail

Sherlock Holmes couldn't do better detective work than this! Want to be alerted the moment an email you've sent is opened? With this interesting new software from MSGTAG.com, you'll get a report showing when your message was sent, when it was viewed, and the elapsed time in between. In addition there are no annoying pop-up windows asking the recipient to send a notification back to you - it all happens automatically! Interestingly, this is a simple program to use and you don't have to change anything about the way you write or send your email. In fact you'll hardly even know it's there.

About a year ago we reviewed a similar program called ReadNotify.com that offers a slightly different approach and provides even more information. For example, it shows how long your message was open and read; a map showing where the recipient is located; how many times it was re-opened and re-read; if it was forwarded and where it was forwarded to, and sometimes who subsequently reads it, how many times and for how long!

Both of these Sherlock Holmes e-mail services offer a free trial version and, of course, an upgrade version for a mere pittance!

Read any newspaper in the world

Heading off to Toowoomba? Want to check the latest news before you fly out? Here's the place to get that done in a flash! The Newspaper Association of America, a nonprofit organization representing nearly 90 percent of the daily circulation in the United States and a wide range of Canadian and International papers, has created the ultimate "newspaper portal," a comprehensive gateway to a very high percentage of newspaper web sites around the world. Newspaperlinks.com even provides links to college newspapers and newspaper archives.

Anytime you want information about a local community, this is a good place to start. You can do some fancy information gathering by bringing up only the newspaper section you want such as sports, business, classifieds, auctions or events. The worldwide coverage and ease of use make this a sure-fire "Favorites" candidate!

P.S. Toowoomba is known as the "Garden City". It is located in Queensland, Australia. They have a very informative newspaper there called "The Chronicle". (We knew you'd want to know that!)
