Interealty Gains Momentum With Internet-based MLS System Sales
by Blanche Evans
Interealty is proud of its penetration with MLXchange, its Web-based MLS system, to more than 100,000 end users, says the company. The way to get to those end-users - Realtors - is through getting MLSs to sign multi-year contracts. MLXchange, says the company, has become the most rapidly adopted MLS system on the market since its debut last year, with more than 40 MLSs adopting the system. Six more MLSs have signed agreements with Interealty, including Greater South Bend-Mishawaka Association of Realtors, Kanawha Valley Board of Realtors, Bryan College Station Regional Association of Realtors, Greater Erie Board of Realtors, and Savannah Multi-List Corp, and Central New York Information Service (CNYIS). CNYIS is preparing its more than 1100 members to switch over to MLXchange in early May this year. "Our members are very excited about the functionality of MLXchange," said Lynnore Fetyko, chief executive officer of Central New York Information Service. "We're training our agents to use MLXchange as we speak and it is a great success." According to Interealty, favorable word of mouth is helping the company get new clients. According to recent results from Clareity Consulting's second annual Internet MLS Customer Satisfaction Survey, 100 percent of Interealty's customers that were surveyed rated their "Overall Satisfaction" with Interealty as either "Good" or "Excellent." The survey also found that 100 percent of respondents said they would choose Interealty as their vendor again. Clareity also found that Interealty was the top-rated MLS vendor for public records. A previous Clareity report on MLS vendors showed that the legacy vendors such as Interealty and FNIS had lost some ground to new Internet-based MLS companies such as MarketLinx, Stratus, and Rapattoni, which outscored the established vendors in iMLS implementation. But the release of MLXchange has put Interealty back in the running, causing the 2002 Report to mention that "Interealty improved dramatically in several key areas in 2002 including vendor responsiveness...." "We are tremendously pleased with the industry's quick adoption and acceptance of MLXchange," said Bryan Foreman, president of Interealty. "MLSs looking for a product that combines state-of-the-art technology backed by the industry's leading trainers and customer support team have found that and much more with MLXchange."
