Bedroom Communities Offer Convenient Dallas Airport Access

Dallas/Fort Worth area bedroom communities such as Valley Ranch and Coppell offer quick access to D/FW International Airport for commuters.

Valley Ranch

"Our marketplace is very active and buyers continue to drive the market," says Realtor Jan DuBell. "Inventory is plentiful, but prices are steady. Low mortgage rates have increased the affordability index and encouraged movement both up and down for local home buyers. Relocation traffic is constant both in residential and country property. Negotiations are competitive as people move to capture this market. High school ratings continue to assist in the desirability factor for this area."

Says Realtor Alysse Jeffers, "Valley Ranch is a prime location convenient to D/FW Airport and the Las Colinas urban center. Interest rates have risen which has caused a bit of 'panic' buying. There are lots of homes on the market, so buyers have a nice selection these days.

Jeffers explains, "Homes in Valley Ranch that feed into Coppell schools are still in much higher demand than homes in other neighborhoods. This fact remains regardless of the general real estate climate. With its outstanding location and convenient amenities, Valley Ranch remains a highly requested area. Look out for bad foundations - a problem more common to this area than others. Obviously you'll want to buy in a favorable location - away from power lines and busy streets."

Coppell

"Coppell is located in Northwestern Dallas County, just 5 miles north of D/FW Airport," says Jeffers. "The outstanding school system and favorable location have helped maintain property values for the most part, although we did notice a slight correction last year. Noise pollution from D/FW airport still keeps some buyers away from homes located on the west side of Denton Tap."

Realtor Brenda Wood says, "Coppell remains one of DFW's most desirable communities. Spectacular schools, extensive city services, fantastic airport proximity and a wholesome atmosphere combine to create a heavenly atmosphere. Coppell is essentially "built out," making pre-owned homes the predominate type available. Meticulously maintained, Coppell is a beautiful community with gorgeous parks and active residents. Due to the small size and convenient location, Coppell has always been a community where homes sell quickly as it is a perfect location to raise a family."
