Charlotte, North Carolina Realtors report that while housing is slowing for the cold weather season, price appreciation remains strong.
"The area is known for its very diversified communities," says Realtor Jeff Magee. "You can choose a nice townhouse or condo in the middle of the city or get a nice suburban feel just outside of town. With the tremendous amount of growth in the area, we have experienced several different types of demands on the housing styles. You will find many locations with just as many different styles of living. You should be able to find just about anything you could ever want. You can find a home from the $100,000.00’s to the multi-million dollar level. There is something for everyone to enjoy in Charlotte, North Carolina."
Suggests Realtor Richard Roskind, "This is an opportunity for both buyers and sellers. In the last 18 to 24 months the appreciation of homes have been approximately 1.5 percent to 3 percent which is less than the previous years. One reason is that new construction has been very strong -- taking about 39 percent of the market. There are many resale homes available which gives the buyer a strong selection."
"October is here and the real estate market is slowing down somewhat as it always does in colder weather months," says Realtor Art Madill. "However, in part because of the continuing low interest rates, there are still more buyers looking to purchase than sellers wanting to sell. Properties that are in average-to-good condition and priced correctly from the day they are listed tend to go very quickly for full or close to full price. If you are considering selling your home, this is the ideal time to do so, because your home won't have as much competition as it does in warmer weather."
