Cave Creek offers the comforts of a small town with access to big city amenities, say local Realtors, and housing is showing appreciation but mixed activity in different price ranges.
"A popular area with desert surroundings," says Realtor Sheila Strunk, "the Cave Creek/Carefree area has been discovered by homebuyers in recent years. A little farther from the center of town, Cave Creek offers a lifestyle more reminiscent of the Old West, and a small town feel with access to all the big-city amenities you could want.'
Add Realtors Jeff and Jane Daley, "Cave Creek is North of Phoenix and its shops take on the old west themes."
About the market, the Daleys say, "The average price of homes sold in Cave Creek is $277,216 and the prices range from $78,900 to $1.075 Million and from 870 to 6368 square feet respectfully. The market price is down 3.128 percent from last year and the average days on market has decreased to 62 days on the market. From the historical perspective we continue to have a good market place with historical low interest rates helping keep the market good. The real estate market place is still one of the best markets to leverage your dollar and build wealth."

"Our most recent sales in Tatum Ranch in the month of October (2003) have averaged less than two weeks on the market, and most all of our homes sold for record prices for the floor plan and location," he says.
