Slowing Sales Offer Buying Opportunities For Delaware Beachcombers

Delaware Realtors in communities like Bethany Beach, Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Beach suggest that slowing sales mean buying opportunities to own beach-front or beach-accessible property.

Bethany Beach

"Bethany Beach is a family-oriented ocean-front community with a very friendly atmosphere," says Realtor Laura Hufford. "If you have never visited, you owe it to yourself and your family to do so."

She advises, "The market is slowing some, in spite of the low interest rates. Now is a great time to purchase an investment property to allow time to get it ready for the next season. The beach areas will never lose their value, so even if you are buying for personal use, this is still the place to purchase. Inventory is increasing, so start looking today!"

Rehoboth Beach

"Rehoboth Beach is a charming, old, beach resort town loaded with wonderful dining, shopping, and of course miles of sunny beaches," says Realtor Amy Schrader. "It has everything from condos to cottages, townhomes to large ocean-front homes, and everything in between. We are easily accessible from major metropolitan areas. This could be your beach get-away close to home."

She advises, "Now is the time to buy that beach property. Homes are selling quickly. However, there is still time to get a property ready for the up-coming rental season. We are booking tenants now! Take advantage of low interest rates while you can. Rehoboth offers a large variety of properties and a large price range to fit everyone's budget. From the weekend visitor to the year-round resident or large-scale investor, Rehoboth has it all!"

Dewey Beach

Dewey Beach is a small ocean-front town just south of Rehoboth Beach, explains Schrader. "Dewey has both miles of ocean beaches as well as access to the serene Rehoboth Bay," she says. "Sailing, windsurfing, and boating are just a few of the daytime activities available. There is plenty of night-life available in the summer as well. Dewey is located just minutes from Rehoboth and all of the surrounding amenities."

She concludes, "The opportunity to invest is here in Dewey. There is a long history of established rental properties. As prices climb and interest rates remain low, there isn't a better time to get into a new property. Take advantage of the remarkable growth in the beach resort area."
