Home sales in Mill Creek have been brisk since the first of the year, say local Realtors in Mill Creek, Washington, a planned community in Seattle.
"Mill Creek, a unique and exciting planned community, is one of the most livable and desirable places to live in the greater Seattle area," suggest Realtors Mimi and John Strother. "Prices on new construction are up and this is reflected in pricing of well-maintained resale homes."
They explain, "The Mill Creek Town Center, under construction, is starting to generate a lot of excitement. Tuscadeli, the first of several restaurants, opened its doors in December. Central Market, an upscale grocery chain, will open a new store later this year. Other new stores said to be coming to the Town Center are Coldstone Creamery, Starbucks, La Palmera, a European bakery, University Book Store, and more.
"The Mill Creek Country Club, under new ownership and management for a couple of years," they add, "has gotten even better. Improvements have been made to the golf course and the clubhouse interior has been redecorated. The menu and quality of food offerings from the kitchen are greatly improved. Club memberships, open to all, are quite reasonable for social membership.
"The new Mill Creek Sports Park is opening this month," say the Strothers. "The designer of the skate park was on the site Monday this week and made his final inspection. A small list of clean up items was identified that the contractor says he will be completing on Saturday. With the cooperation of the contractor in the placement of their temporary construction fencing, the Silver Lake Soccer Association has begun using the turf for team practices in the evenings from 4:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday."
