"The booming real estate market is a reflection," say Realtors Dave and Francie Kipling. "Tucson is a city of contrasts, from urban to pristine desert to pine forests on the nearby mountains. The city's gateway to Mexico and rich Native American heritage are evident throughout. In 2000, America Heritage magazine named Tucson as its "Great American Place". MSN.com recently chose Tucson as the fifth best place in America to live, taking into account the cost of living, crime rate, education, home prices and weather.

"Tucson has incredible quality of life," says Realtor Mary Ann Levenson, "It's not surprising that Tucson was named one of "America's 100 Best Retirement Towns" for 2001. It's known for the abundance of golf courses and ready availability of outdoor sports and recreation. Tucson is a community that enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine a year! Pilots love it! Tucson enjoys a nearly perfect climate surrounded by four mountain ranges and has much sunshine, dry air and rich desert vegetation. Northwest Tucson is a very large area of Tucson and offers diverse choices in lifestyles. You'll find a large selection of new construction, new upscale gated neighborhoods, homes on large parcels of land and moderately priced homes on close to an acre.

Levenson says, "The Tucson Association of Realtors, MLS, Inc. reports that May 2004's total home sales volume increased 29.6 percent from last year. Home sales units increased by 14.7 percent from May, 2003. The median sale price increased 11 percent to $161,000. The average sale price increase was 14 percent to an outstanding $220,726!"

"Tucson has one of the most active housing markets in the U.S., with very reasonably priced homes," says Realtor Pat Leach. "Buying, selling, investing, and business - it's all here! You can find good quality, single-family homes from the low $100,000's to $10,000,000+. We have one of the best year-round climates in the United States. In "America's Best Places to Live 2003," MSN's Website rated 331 metropolitan areas in categories including cost of living, crime rate, education, home prices, and weather. Tucson came in 5th, a high honor considering the competition."
