Realtors in recreational communities across Wisconsin, including Menomonee Falls, Rice Lake, and Fox River say home sales and values are booming.
Menomonee Falls
"Menomonee Falls is a booming place to live," says Realtor Jason Campbell. "They have great parks, swimming pools, schools and winter activities. As of July 2, 2004 there are 108 properties to choose from. Between Jan. 1, 2004 and July 2, 2004 there has been 171 sold properties."
Rice Lake
"Rice Lake is a recreation get-away that is up and coming with growth," says Realtor Margo Katterhagen. "Rice Lake is a strong industry-based community. We constantly have buyers and sellers moving in and out of your market area all year long. Along with the industry-based buyers - our recreational based clients are so happy here that they in turn tell their friends and family who are always in the search of that "northern retreat."
Fox River Valley
"Located in the heart of the Midwest, Fox River Valley offers small town friendliness with big city amenities," says Realtor Cindy Peters. "The Fox River Valley offers a great quality of life with outstanding schools, a regional shopping mall, a performing arts center featuring Broadway theater, and the Green Bay Packers. Yet it is within easy driving distance of Minneapolis/St.Paul, Milwaukee, and Chicago."
Peters says, "Market activity for the first half of 2004 mirrors the same time period last year. January - May 2004 showed stronger sales with activity falling off in June. June 2004 saw the number of sales lowered by 17 percent from June 2003. Interest rates are expected to remain steady until the fourth quarter. This makes it an excellent time to purchase the home of your dreams."
