"Southern Maryland enjoys the beautiful surrounding of the Chesapeake Bay, along with the Potomac and Patuxent Rivers," says Realtor Tammy Rawson. "Southern Maryland has something to offer everyone, from rolling farmland to beautiful waterfront property."

Suggests Rawson, "Even though it is still considered a seller's market, sales have slowed down slightly in the last month. The turn-around pace is not quite as quick as we've experienced over the past few months, but demand is still high and sellers are enjoying fair market value for their homes."

Says Realtor Carlos Gautier, "Southern Maryland is located southeast of the DC Metro Area, Including Prince Georges, Charles, Saint Marys and Calvert Counties. West boundary is the Potomac River, east boundary is the Chesapeake Bay, And is north of Virginia's King George County.

"Southern Maryland has attracted home shoppers who are looking for the best values in home sales," explains Gautier. "Southern Maryland home shoppers have found that their money will get more home and property, along with paying less for property taxes than most of the neighboring areas. The market trend has been very strong for property owners. The cost of living in Southern Maryland is lower than most all of the Metro area, affording its residents to live more comfortably. It's a short commute to DC, most all of the area's military bases, and Virginia. Come down and see what beautiful Southern Maryland has to offer you."

"Southern Maryland is rich in history and character," he lauds. " There are reasonably priced waterfront properties, lower than most all of the Metro area. There are planned communities, farmlands, large estates, and many different new neighborhoods being constructed. It's a great location for those who'd like the quieter living or the spacious country setting to live and have just a short commute to the city, shopping, our waterfront, parks, or entertainment…."
