"Located on the North Banks of the Caloosahatchee River north of Fort Myers," says Realtor F.E. Currier, "North Fort Myers is a growing town with riverside properties, gated communities and large undeveloped acreage."

Says Currier, "North Fort Myers was not greatly affected by the recent hurricanes and property values continue to climb at record levels. Because property values are still lower than those just to the north in Sarasota and just to the south in Naples, the demand for available real estate has be steadily increasing in value. Investors, developers and people looking for value have found this area to be a prime relocation destination."

"Fort Myers has a unique blend of historic and modern charms," says Realtor Ruthann McBride. "Drive along McGreggor Blvd.; the towering royal palm trees majestically wave in the south Florida breeze as you approach the winter homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. Nestled serenely along the shore of the Caloosahatchee River, Fort Myers is the governmental hub of Lee County and offers its residents and visitors access many wonderous things such as the arts and the symphony, fine dining, shopping, state of the art medical care, golfing, boating, fishing, and so much more.

McBride continues, "Established in 1886, Fort Myers has been growing and changing dynamically yet still managages to maintain its magnetic charm and appeal. The median age of the population of Fort Myers is 32. Downtown has been undergoing extensive renovations which has given way to new restaurants, nightclubs, apartments, and artistic venues providing energy and growth for the city. Centennial Park and The Fort Myers Yacht Basin host many cultural events throughout the year. Both overlook the Caloosahatchee River where you will often see sailboats and yachts as well as a diversity of colorful birds which inhabit the area. And, if you are a beach lover, Fort Myers is just minutes from some of the most beautiful white sandy beaches that SW Florida has to offer."
