"The housing demand in Delaware continues to grow," says Realtor Wilma Shockley, "and is very strong."

"Delaware has a small town feel and is located in Delaware County," explain Realtors Gina Myers and Jill Fergus. "There are housing opportunities here for everyone - historic & vintage homes, condos, farms and new construction."

They say, "Delaware is a quaint town that lets you step back in time with residents who care about their community and their neighbors. The charming downtown has wonderful historic building that house everything from antique shops to coffee shops. And you won't want to miss The Little Brown Jug!"

"There's rapid growth in population," says Realtor Jim Lubinsky, "even though it is still somewhat of a rural area. The area includes the Polaris Fashion Place megamall shopping and many large banking and insurance company operations centers."

About the market, Lubinsky says, "South Delaware County is predominantly new homes, new shopping and new office space. There's rapid growth in new building in the southern areas of the Delaware County. The city of Delaware is centrally located in the county and also seeing many new communities being constructed. The northern county is still quite rural with 2+ acre tracts and many older farm homes mixed with custom built homes. There are good schools and expanding utility services to make this county a preferred choice for many relocating here."
