Realty Times' "Showcase of Homes" will debut on the Dish Network and DirecTV starting Saturday, December 4th. Each week, the show will feature up to 50 homes professionally showcased as commercials with voiceovers. The commercials will also be featured on the Internet at Realty Times.
Altering the format from local cable channels to national exposure with satellite, the Showcase of Homes will expand to a one-hour show every week, featuring news, advice, and colorful and dramatic presentations of approximately 50 homes listed by Realtors. Also included will be plenty of promotion for local Market Conditions experts, Realty Times' exclusive feature that promotes Realtors as local experts in their communities.
"We want to send more viewers to the Realty Times advertisers on our Web site," explains Jody Lane, founder and CEO of Realty Times. "By showcasing homes on satellite TV, we can also showcase the homes the same way on our Website. Unlike most television shows where people are presented homes and lose touch with the home after the show, this format takes them directly to the site where they can look at homes they like at leisure - all over the country. They can contact the agent directly for more information."
"Satellite has the potential to broadcast Realty Times 'Showcase of Homes' to over 25 million homes nationwide," adds Lane. "It's growing and fast. We are getting in on the ground floor. The homes are interesting to watch and viewers will be fascinated by the news, advice, and market conditions we provide for them. We will continuously drive viewers to our Market Conditions experts."
While Lane is working on closing a deal to show "Showcase" continuously 24/7 on both the Dish Network and DirecTV, the schedule begins tomorrow, December 4th with a new one-hour show each week, airing Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time on channel 223 (Dish Network), and on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time on channel 227 (DirecTV). Each show will be organized regionally and locally so that homebuyers, investors and vacation homebuyers will be able to see what's happening in all housing markets of interest.
"We believe this is the first opportunity Realtors have had to buy television advertising for properties that makes sense," says John Giaimo, executive vice president of business development for Realty Times. "It makes sense because they're getting national exposure, and their ad can also be used on Realty Times, on their Website, and in their listing presentations. Sellers are terribly impressed by Showcase of Homes."
