"Denton is approximately 45 minutes from Dallas, 40 minutes from Fort Worth, 35 minutes from DFW Airport, 15 minutes from Alliance Airport," says Realtor Nancy White. "Denton is at the top of the "golden triangle" of the DFW Metroplex and home of two major universities, University of North Texas and Texas Women's University."

White suggests, "Enjoy living near the metroplex with a variety of cultural activities at your door step. Denton has everything from the quaint older home to estate homes, lots to acreage. Prices have been stable this summer, with interest rates remaining low. Homeowners are moving up to larger homes and we have seen a increase in available pre-owned homes. Denton Independent School District is a "Recognized" district, and has several exemplary schools."

Adds Realtor Shana Acquisto, "The real estate market of Denton is diverse, with a wide range of housing options available. A limited number of condominiums and townhouses can be found in the $100,000 range in developments such as Mulberry Creek and Wooded Acres. Lovely three- or four-bedroom contemporary homes are available in neighborhoods including the Estates of Forrest Ridge, Shadow Brook Place, Lakeview Ranch, Hunters Ridge and Montecito del Sur. Single-family detached homes can be found for just under $100,000, though prices range up to $400,000. For luxurious estates complete with swimming pools, media rooms, vaulted ceilings and gourmet kitchens, prices start in the high $500,000s and can reach the mid $2 million range."
