New Internet Tricks

In this age of internet business, one can never have too many cyber tips.

Trick #1: Google Earth astounds again!

Pretty soon they will be zooming in the front door and showing us the kitchen! Well, maybe not this year but you can just about believe that this will happen the way these Google folks keep innovating. Using Google Earth you can "fly" to just about any place on this earth and zoom down to tree top level and not only see the houses and other structures, but now you can see them in 3D. These folks have combined satellite imagery, maps and the power of Google Search to put the world's geographic information at your fingertips. This is powerful and useful stuff and it keeps getting more powerful. The price is right to. It's -- on the house.

Trick #2: The age of online video is upon us!

We knew it wouldn't be long before video would begin to take hold on the internet. Here's an example of the type of services we are beginning to see that will help rush us into the on-line video age. These folks have come along and made outgoing and incoming audio/ video calling and conferencing as easy as clicking on the built in address book.

Time to cough up $20 and get a web cam! You won't go broke making video calls with this service. Their standard plan is free.

Great Place #1: To be an online movie star

Now that your web cam is hooked up (easy these days), here's a neat place to upload, tag and share your creations. This rapidly growing resource is a place to share, comment on, and view videos. It is so popular that over 50 million videos are viewed here each day.

While there you can subscribe to member videos, save favorites, and create playlists. You can also use this resource to share your own video/audio message by linking to it from your e-mail or web site.

Now you can be a movie star on-line -- or you can look like one! The price is right -- the basic service is on the house!

Great Place #2: Ta-da! Share your to do list easily.

Here's another little one trick pony that will help you keep track of all the things you need to get done and create lists, etc. What makes this so neat is that you can collaborate and share your lists with your nearest and dearest. In addition, this free on-line program also allows you to subscribe your lists using RSS feeds so you're always right up to date. These folks have some other freebies that allow you to collaborate on-line including an easy to use "WriteBoard" program that is also on the house. Worth checking out.
