Mark Thorngren is reporting that for Ventura County, California the market is really waking up.
His research has shown that most of February was a busy month for sellers, with buyers finally getting off the fence and making their home choice.
But, he cautions, the market isn't completely healed yet.
Sellers are continuing to suffer, Thorngren says, as agents in his area see more buyers at open houses buy few willing to buy, resulting in long listing periods and declining equity.
So what will it take to really get the market moving?
Thorngren thinks some new developments in the lending industry are going to prove a boon to insecure buyers.
The new changes to FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac programs, combined with high inventory, low prices and falling interest rates are allowing home buyers to find some great deals.
And the really good news is that as more buyers begin to take advantage of these improved conditions the more the market will correct itself.
