Robert Hughes, our market expert in Las Vegas, says last month's real estate activity report is in for Las Vegas.

There are currently over 20 thousand homes to choose from in Clark County right now, he says, and new listings for March decreased by 24 percent from last year while pending sales rose by 12.5 percent from March 2007.

Over 1,800 homes sold in the month of March, Hughes says, and April is showing a remarkable uptick in activity with over 5,000 homes in contingent and pending sales, double that of last month's figures reported by the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors.

Hughes says it is likely that buyers are now getting the relief necessary to become home buyers again, which proves what goes around comes around, especially in the resilient Las Vegas market.
