Is This Foundation Issue New?
An application for REALTORS®

Thursday May 8 - "Is This Foundation Issue New?" Question: A house had a foundation repair five years ago, but signs of foundation problems on the exterior of the house and patio are visible. Also new signs of cosmetic cement filling are visible. How can you tell if new problems have occurred? Answer: You have to know what you're buying -- or not buying. Require that an inspection by a qualified engineer of your choice must be satisfactory to you as a condition of any offer. If the report is not "satisfactory" to you then the offer is finished and you deposit must be returned in full. A broker, attorney or legal clinic can provide proper language.
