Market Conditions: Western Chester County, Pennsylvania

Ruth Parker, our market expert for Western Chester County reports that, since March, the real estate market has slowly come back to life in this area of Pennsylvania.

Homes that have languished on the market for over a year have suddenly been snatched up by investors.

And many of these investors are positioning themselves to rent their homes out or to quickly sell as bargains before the market trends upwards again, Parker says.

So what caused the slow down in this area?

Parker thinks many buyers were shaken by the depressing market condition forecasts in other areas of this state or other states.

This market was never as severely affected, she says.

The bright spot for this market, says Parker, is that because prices HAVE gone down, there are myriad opportunities for buyers to find a bargain home.
