Currently, the company is targeting Baldwin County in Alabama among others.

This area is ranked by Business 2.0 and CNN's Money Magazine, "as the South's next boomtown and a magnet for megaprojects."

The biggest is a $4.1 billion steel mill that German industrial giant ThyssenKrupp is building in Mobile.

It will create 2,700 jobs when it opens in 2010, generate almost twice as many spinoff jobs, and bring in 29,000 workers during the construction phase.

Also, Northrop Grumman/EADS recently won a 40 Billion dollar contract from the Airforce to build new aerial refueling tankers.

The companies say this project will create an additional 2,000 jobs in Mobile.
