CNNMoney has released their annual
report entitled, "Best Places to Live." Looking to move? Maybe you can find your dream city on the list.
Home are compared, in the report, based on such things as household income, median home prices, state income taxes, educational institutions in the area, and leisure activities.
Topping the list this year was Plymouth, MN, a city known for "topnotch schools, good jobs, affordable housing, low crime, [and] an active outdoor culture." The median home price for this area comes in at $288,950.
Four of the top ten cities were in the Midwest -- a region that hasn't seen the extreme ups and downs that other regions saw after the real estate boom in the 2004 and 2005.
Looking for the most affordable city on the list? How about looking at Nicholasville, KY. This town of 24,000 has a median home price of just $70,000! Not too shabby considering the median family income is $53,505. Other draws to this city are short commute times, good air quality, and lots of golf courses.
