GREAT PLACE #1 - Get Good Stuff Free.

There is such a thing as a free lunch. This network has grown dramatically because of this truth. Their network is made up of over five thousand local groups with close to nine million members around the world. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by local volunteers.

It's easy to get and give free stuff. Just go to the group in your area and join, scan all the things being offered or request something specific that you are looking for. Rest assured that you will find stuff in even the most remote areas. For example Fairbanks, Alaska has 3258 members and even Reykjavik, Iceland has 126 members.

These nice folks not only keep the landfills from getting overflowed -they are kind too -- there is no charge for this neat service.
