5 Unique Ways to Show Off Wedding Photos in Your Home

Your wedding may feel like one of the biggest days of your life. After the cake has been cut, the bouquet caught, and the guests have gone home, all that remains are memories of the day’s most magical moments. It’s standard in our culture to constantly document everything, and a wedding is no exception. More likely than not, you had those magical memories immortalized in photographic form, and once your photographer hands you the USB drive you have the tricky task of deciding how to best display your wedding photos in your home.

Whether you want to hang a photo in every room of your house or prefer to keep the snapshots to a minimum, there are many creative ways to turn prints of your wedding photographs into decor (that don’t include pulling out the scissors, scrapbook paper, and stickers!).

Create a Wedding Shadow Box

A shadow box is a deep-set frame that can be filled with more than just a photograph. Choose one or more of your prints to serve as the backdrop of the box, and include mementos from the special day in the box as well. A dried flower from one of your floral arrangements, a piece of the veil, or even your something borrowed or blue personalize the box and create a dynamic display.

Turn Any Empty Wall into an Artful Display

Sometimes, being traditional isn’t all that bad. You don’t need to be a professional art curator to turn showcase your beautiful wedding prints on a wall of your home. A recent survey shows almost half of couples displayed their wedding photos hung in their living room. Hanging your posed pictures is one of the hottest trends in home decor this year, adding a nice, elegant touch to your formal living room.

Make a Photo Garland

If you’d rather ditch the frames for something a little more rustic, then this is the project for you. Take smaller prints of your wedding photos, colorful clothespins, and twine, and create a captivating garland by attaching the photos to the twine using the pins. You can even use string lights instead of twine for extra pizazz!

Turn Your Photos into a Coffee-Table Book

A beautiful coffee-table book is a great conversation starter, and your family and friends will love leafing through it when they come by. You can divide the book into chapters chronologically, group photos by aesthetic, or include little notes and captions of your own. Once the book is created, simply place it on your coffee table, mantel, or on an empty shelf, and add magazines, flowers, or any other decor you’d like.

Make Your Photos into Magnets or Coasters

Maybe you’d prefer for your wedding photos to be displayed in a way that is functional as well as decorative. If that’s the case, then turning the photos from your wedding into magnets or coasters might be the way to go. In doing this, you get to scatter those incredible photos throughout your home to be reminded of when you said “I do” every time you have a cup of coffee or open the fridge.
