Some tips for stay at home moms who want to work a bit

Being a mom is one of the most wonderful experiences you can have, and those moms who are able to stay at home have a lot of advantages getting to see their little ones grow up right before their eyes.  You see their first steps and hear their first words.  It's so amazing.

But there are plenty of stay at home moms that also would like to work...often just part-time.  Sometimes this is because they want to (for some variety, adult interaction and sense of fulfillment) and sometimes it's because they need or want some extra money...and more often, it's a combo of the two.

It can be rather challenging to find a part-time job when your kids are very young.  Their schedules and nap time and feeding times can be all over the board, and it can be even more challenging when you have two to manage...because they each need you at different times.  So, how do you find a part-time job...or side gig...that can work around your hours.  You often want one that you can be flexible in hours...some days you may have no time, sometimes an hour...sometimes you may have a few hours.  And, of course your time may be broken up into chunks - an hour here, 30 minutes there.  And, you don't always know when you'll be able to find that free time.

Or sometimes, you may just have time very early in the day or very late at night.  What type of regular job will allow you to that?  Sadly, not many.

Now, not to worry, because there are plenty of ways for stay at home moms to make extra money on their own terms.  Yes, my friend Carly has written a super article that contains MANY ways to earn extra money by doing jobs that have flexible hours and don't require commuting or a regular schedule.  You set your own hours and you're in control.  You can do more hours on some days and less on others, or even different amounts each week pending on your needs and your schedule.
