Grab the buyer's attention with a well-presented curb appeal. Step on the street outside the perimeter of your house and take a good look at what the buyer will see. Enhance your curb appeal by removing weeds, mowing the lawn, trimming the hedges and other plants, and making sure that the windows, driveway, walkway, and porch are clean.


2. Make your home look more spacious.

Buyers love spacious homes. While you can't add square footage to your home without knocking down walls, you can make it look more spacious by clearing out most of your belongings and organizing the remaining items.

 

Decluttering will make the house look bigger, especially if you can declutter 30% or more of your home's content.

 

For many sellers, decluttering means moving stuff out of the house and placing them all into the basement, garage or shed in the backyard. That's not really helpful, since some nosy buyers may open the storage, only to have your things crash over them. Decluttering extends to all the storage units of the home, be it cabinets, closets, or shed.

4. Clean everything.

All sellers clean their homes. Step up and go the extra mile by not just cleaning, but deep cleaning the home. 5. Stage it.
