Hygiene and cleanliness are important aspects of every human being's life. The absence of a cleaning routine in one’s life can lead to a lot of health problems arising due to the favourable conditions that are ideal for infectious bacteria to thrive. Pet lovers have an additional task at hand, that is the cleaning up the mess caused by their pets. No matter how a pet owner loves their animals, they are bound to be frustrated by the fur or pet poop on their carpets.

A complete routine to serve the purpose of dealing with the dirty situations arising due to pets helps a lot.

Here is a list of tips and tricks that should be followed in every pet household:

USING THE LINT REMOVER

A dog or a cat shed fur all the time. This gets easily stuck to upholstery, rugs and carpets. A buildup of animal hair in the living area damages the look and feel of the sofas and carpets. A lint remover will remove all the fur and hair of the pets from these areas. This should be the very first activity while cleaning a house with pets to avoid unwanted complications later on.

TREATING THE CARPETS BEFORE SHAMPOOING

Pets or not, every spill or stain on the carpet or sofas should be treated in time. This saves the rugs from getting stubborn, permanent stains. A carpet spotter should be kept handy that would be quite helpful when a pet dirties the place. A carpet spotter is applied to a restricted place, to avoid cleaning the whole carpet. In other words it is a quick fix. Carpet spotters are an excellent chemical to treat pet urine stains. The chemicals present in the spotting chemicals break down the elements of a urine stain immediately to remove it by a series of fast reactions. On a regular basis shampooing should be done and because of the use of spotters shampooing will be effective even with cheap carpet cleaner machines.

PEST CONTROL

Pets are carriers of fleas and they can infect any home with hundreds of fleas in no time. Therefore pest control is an important cleansing activity in every pet household. Spraying specialized chemicals to completely get rid of the little monsters must be a priority. The pets should be checked and combed regularly but particularly after a cleaning session. This will prevent reinfection.

EXTENSIVE TILE CLEANING

Pets cannot be restricted to a certain area of the household so a cleaner can expect mess everywhere although it is much more at high traffic areas like the living room and around their eating bowls. This means that the tiles should also be taken care of and cleaned extensively. Tile floor cleaning machines should be used to clean all those stubborn stains caused by pets or otherwise.

USING PROTECTIVE CHEMICALS AND ANTIMICROBIAL CHEMICALS

Somethings can be magical and carpet and upholstery protecting chemicals are no less than that. They form a protective barrier over the target areas to avoid staining. Carpet protecting chemicals minimise stain penetration. A protector chemical is used on cleaned carpets, drapes or fabric upholstered furniture.

Antimicrobial chemicals are sprayed to kill any microbe for thorough cleaning. A house that has pets is susceptible to infections from the pet, therefore antimicrobial chemicals sprays should definitely be one of the activities during the cleaning session.

Having said that mess should be cleared immediately to avoid building up of mud, debris etc, because the pets are always on the move.
