The moving checklist is the key element of your relocation, as it will help supervise all the activities easier and it is the best guarantee that you will not forget something in the old house. If you organize your checklist in the best way, you can also reduce the time for loading and unloading the moving van, which is especially important if you do everything by yourself. In all cases, check out the following advices and important things for the agenda.

st, begin the compilation of your checklist at least a month before the moving day, take your free time to organize everything justly and don`t rush in the last few days before the move.

nd, inspect the entire house with the empty checklist on hand and note the biggest objects. Sketch an imaginary arrangement of these objects in the room, then, repeat the procedure with all other rooms. At this step, it is important only to highlight the biggest and heaviest objects in one column.

rd, start packing the smallest objects that you use every day or quite frequently. From bathroom accessories to kitchen utensils - there are plenty of small things to keep in mind. Get yourself plenty of bags, boxes and wrappings, which will help you to pick up the best option when packing your possessions. Ask your removal agency whether they offer rental or recyclable boxes.

th, when it`s time to prepare the glass objects for the move - make another separate column in the checklist only for these glass items. They may range from the mirror in the bathroom, to porcelain dishes, vases and other glass objects. Use old newspaper sheets or bubble wraps to enwrap every item individually. Then, pack all the glass items in a box and secure their arrangement via another extra paper sheets or bubble wraps.

th, the biggest items should be included in a separate column in the moving checklist as well. They are these items, which will need individual wrapping and handling by two or more helpers. Because of that, make sure to get large sturdy boxes too. Handling straps are also very useful, especially if you want to reduce the risk from scratching or hitting the item during a long trip from the front door to the van.

th, don`t forget the items for protection. They are vary from type to size and are very important items that you should include in the checklist. For instance, edge protectors for the biggest furniture, heavy-duty tape for tightening dismantled parts, plastic wraps and waterproof coverings for upholstered items, etc. The labels for each individual box should be high on the agenda too. They guarantee the easiest orientations among the piles of bags and boxes, as well as help you organize the checklist easier.

th, the big kitchen appliances. They should be handled with more care and they require some pre-move preparations: defrost and clean the fridge and the freezer; dismantle the kitchen robots and pack them in their original boxes if you keep them; try to use the empty spaces and the voids in some appliances by filling blankets and other fabrics in the laundry machine, for example.

th, include another column only for textile floor coverings such as carpets and rugs. Of course, some deep cleaning is another pre-move task that you should keep in mind. Roll and tight the carpets via rope for easier storage. Use plastic coverings if there is a chance for rainfalls at the moving day. The same applies to the electronic devices. Make sure to protect their boxes with plastic coverings or other waterproof wraps.
