From where you should start the unboxing and the arrangement

Once you arrive in the new house, the unloading of the van should take place in the quickest and safest manner. Then, it`s the unboxing and arrangement of all your possessions, but in the new house. There are so many things to do that to decide from where to begin might be a real issue. That`s why a great tip is to make yourself a moving checklist and to continue it with a list with the activities from the first moment after your arrival in the new house. For example, check out this list.

1) Make a sketching of the floor map and give it to the movers. If you sketch the exact sizes and dimensions of the rooms, the width of the doors and the perfect spots for unloading the giant heavy boxes - then the movers will know where exactly to put the big and heavy boxes. It will definitely make the unboxing and arrangement easier.

2) Make a small special box with sandwiches to give to the kids. They might be tired from the trip and a couple of sandwiches are always a great solution of the hustle and bustle in the first after moving moment.

3) Be sure that you have the keys for the new house in a safe and handy place or in that small special box, or in another box with very important items.

4) Decide what to do with the van if moving by yourself. You should know in advance where is the closest office of the removal company where you can return the van and the keys of the van. Or else, if you hire man and a van - this is one thing less, of which you have to think.

5) Start with unboxing the most important items, needed to overnight. From blankets and cushions, to reassembling the beds and other furniture for the kid`s room - there are plenty of things to do. Yet it is important to begin with the important things to overnight, then, on the next morning - let`s get started with everything else.

6) Check out the supplying of the house, the security system, or overall - whether its condition is just the same as you knew it before the move. Unbox the electronic devices and find the perfect spot for optimal Wi-Fi connection. It is easier to do it in empty rooms and then to arrange the furniture and the other objects.

7) Unbox all other electronic devices from the kitchen equipment to the TV. Check out their condition and inspect them for malfunctioning, scratches, damages or other issues. It is recommended to sort the devices in one corner of the room, then to unbox the big and heavy furnishings, and then to arrange the devices on their places.

8) When everything is on its place, start by sorting the removal boxes. Make a couple of piles for boxes in a perfect condition after the move, as well as pile for damaged bags, boxes and other packaging materials as a disposal of waste. Return the rental boxes to the removal agency and get rid of the big mess after the long unboxing of your possessions.

9) Meet the neighbors. This is one of the most important first things to do right after your arrival, because it is important to make a good impression to the neighbors from the first moment. Invite them to spend the afternoon with a cup of coffee or tea.
