When you plan to move in a distant city with all your possessions and object that you`ve used to see in the rooms - you probably want to move by the safest and quickest manner. There are three main types of professional relocation services and to pick up the best one for your move could be a challenge. The more the options, the more the factors that you have to consider.

For instance, hiring man and a van is the most preferred choice when moving on a budged and yet with plenty of big boxes, heavy furniture, and hundreds of items in the checklist. The professional advices, help and experience of the man are indispensable when you have to deal with all the things and especially with some specific things like during the arrangement of the objects inside the van. The van, on the other side, offers the easiest way to move all your possessions at once. If you can`t just barely fit them in your normal car even if you drop down the rear seats - then definitely this choice should be high on your agenda.

The second main opt is to hire two, three or more men with a much bigger van. The more the men - the less things you have to do. They can take care for almost everything from the packing in the old house to the unloading in the new house. Moreover, when a crew from the company prepares your belongings - the company is liable for the safety of your belongings.

The third opt to keep in mind is to hire a company with a removal truck, a mobile container or even a removal truck with a trailer that is as large as the truck itself. Some giant wooden or iron containers can fit all the objects from all the rooms in a two-storey house. These containers give the flexibility to load the boxes and the objects throughout a whole week or even more prior to the move.

The differences between the three main types of removal companies, mentioned above, are only the basic things you should know before searching for the right company for your move. Let`s take a look at the following basic steps and highlights on how to do it.

1st - Search in internet for the local companies in your region. Stroll through their sites and check out their services. This is a very easy way to get a first impression about what to expect.

2nd - Go through all the offers of the companies and compare their services. Some are specialized in offering only rental vans; others have an enormous variety of removal vans, trucks and other vehicles.

3rd - Ask a friend for a recommendation. This may save you plenty of time if your friend knows exactly which company to recommend you.

4th - Request as much quotes as possible. Yet if you have to pick up one company among the dozens others in your region, the best way is to choose an offer on the best cost basis.

5th - Call the agent to discuss all other details about your move, ranging from the preferred date and hour of the move to the number of the removal boxes. Also ask the agent whether they can make discounts if paying cash, whether they offer complimentary services like rental boxes or recycling of unused boxes, where you have to return the van if you rent only a van for a one-way move, etc.

6th - Book the removal services as early as possible. This will ensure that they will be at your disposal when needed.
