How Team-Oriented Brokerages Benefit You

Redefy Real Estate How Team Oriented Brokerages Benefit You

Last year almost 5 million single family homes were sold, according to the National Association of REALTORS®. The average individual (not team) agent does 5.1 transactions a year. So an agent with 5 years’ experience has only sold 25 homes.

That doesn’t translate to a lot of real-life experience. There are two reasons for this. First, these agents are selling real estate as a “side job”; they haven’t generated enough business to sell real estate full time or they’re not really committed to the career. The second reason is that even if the agent has a decent network, they’re so bogged down in the marketing and many steps to closing that they can’t take on more clients.

Neither of these scenarios benefit homeowners.

Part-time agents go to their day jobs and then show houses and do paperwork in their “off” time. How much time can an agent give you if they’re only available nights and weekends? Can they really be able to handle unexpected things that come up in a timely fashion? Do they really have a finger on the real estate pulse? Are they able to keep up with changes in the market and in the industry?

Full-time traditional agents are committed to real estate. But they’re also responsible for every step of the transaction process. So they’re wearing a lot of hats: marketing, selling, MLS listing, photography, scheduling/taking clients to showings, negotiating, writing contracts, resolving inspection issues, and all the steps to closing. That takes a super organized person. If they have more than one transaction going on, you’d better hope they can keep track of all that needs to happen for you.

So what’s the solution?

Team-oriented brokerages offer the best solution. Agents in the field focus on what they do best: connecting buyers and sellers. The support team – the licensed in-house agents and brokerage manager – take care of the paperwork and negotiation. In-house marketing  at the corporate level uses national buying power to provide locally-targeted print and digital media campaigns. This leverages the experience of the entire team to get you the best possible price on your house. The agent is free to focus on you and no one drops the ball on the necessary steps to closing.

This scenario allows agents to work full time and do many transactions throughout the year without sacrificing service to clients. Since agents in team-approach brokerages can do many transactions in a year, agents gain a lot of experience in a short amount of time (Redefy agents do about 48 a year). They benefit from the experience of other team members and build their own experiences quickly. You’re not subject to a “lone ranger” who may or may not have the right kind of experience for your unique transaction.

Would you have more confidence in a 5-year agent with 25 home sales under their belt, or a 5-year agent with 200 closed home sales? When you shop for an agent, shop for a team. You’ll get more individualized attention from your agent with the benefit of a team looking out for every aspect of your sale.

In the end, you get the best possible deal for you and smoother, no-surprise closings.

Redefy's team-oriented brokerages represent years of home selling and buying experience at every location. Put the power of the Redefy Real Estate team to work for you — and save thousands when you list for just $2,500.
