A real estate agent is the client’s guide to the real estate market. You are there to help them make the most of their transaction and avoid pitfalls. That being said, no one’s going to follow a guide they can’t trust. Here are 11 things you should not say to your client:
“I don’t have a website.”
Cue the big buzzer sound of failure. This is the digital age – if you’re not up on tech, clients won’t trust you to be up on real estate. If you don’t have a personal website, make one easily and for free with sites like Weebly, Wix and WordPress.org. Your personal site is a place where you introduce yourself and your accomplishments, as well as any helpful collateral you might have. It’s meant to build trust, not recreate the search functions of your brokerage. So put some cool stuff on your site and redirect them to your company’s page. In the meantime, just say “Yes, I do! Here’s the address…” (present card with company site on it).
