Olde Oakville was founded when British immigrants began living around Lake Ontario and named their area as ‘Oakville Settlement’. The immigrants settled in the area because it offers plenty of benefits with its location on the Oakville Harbour. In the past two hundred years, the settlement kept growing and developing, giving us one of the most culturally rich and historical areas in the Greater Toronto Area.
